Clinical Mental Health Assessments & Evaluations

Clarity is its own form of healing. Sometimes you need to know what you're actually dealing with.

Understanding is the first step toward change. Our mental health evaluation services provide comprehensive, clinically rigorous assessments to help clarify diagnoses, guide treatment planning, and give you — and your care team — a clearer picture of where you are and what you need.

Evaluations are conducted by a qualified PAR Level C assessor — the most advanced credentialing tier in psychological assessment — ensuring that every instrument used is administered, scored, and interpreted with the highest level of clinical expertise and ethical oversight.

Evaluation Services Offered

•  Full Clinical Mental Health Evaluations — Comprehensive diagnostic assessments addressing mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, personality functioning, and other clinical presentations.

•  Diagnostic Clarification Evaluations — Targeted assessments for clients seeking clarity around an existing or uncertain diagnosis.

•  Treatment Planning Assessments — Evaluations designed to inform and guide individualized therapeutic treatment plans.

•  Symptom Severity & Functional Impairment Assessments — Standardized measurement of symptom burden and its impact on daily functioning.

What Is a PAR Level C Assessor?

PAR (Psychological Assessment Resources) classifies assessment tools by qualification level. A Level C credential requires advanced training in psychometric theory, test administration, and clinical interpretation, as well as adherence to strict ethical standards established by professional licensing boards and the American Psychological Association (APA). It represents the most sophisticated tier of assessment credentialing available.

What to Expect

The evaluation process is collaborative and client-centered. Depending on the type of evaluation requested, your process may include:

•  Clinical Interview — A structured conversation to gather comprehensive background information and clarify your presenting concerns.

•  Standardized Testing — Administration of validated psychological assessment instruments appropriate to your referral question.

•  Records Review — Review of prior treatment records or medical history, if applicable and relevant.

•  Written Summary Report — A professionally written document summarizing findings, diagnostic impressions, and clinical recommendations.

Sharing of Findings

Evaluation findings are shared on a need-to-know basis to support continuity of care. With your written authorization, findings may be shared with referring providers, treating therapists, psychiatrists, treatment centers, or other licensed professionals directly involved in your care. All information is handled in accordance with applicable confidentiality laws and ethical standards.

A Note on Testing Materials

All psychological assessment instruments used in this practice are proprietary, copyrighted materials. Raw testing protocols, scoring sheets, and test items cannot be shared with clients, third parties, attorneys, or courts. This protects the integrity and validity of the instruments, complies with copyright law, and upholds our ethical obligations. Written summary reports and clinical findings may be shared appropriately as outlined above.

Important: Legal & Forensic Matters

All evaluations provided through this practice are conducted strictly for clinical purposes and are not intended for use in legal proceedings, court-ordered evaluations, or forensic matters.

If you are seeking a mental health evaluation for legal purposes — including litigation, custody matters, competency evaluations, or any court-related proceeding — you will need to consult a forensic specialist. We are pleased to refer interested parties to:
